YOUR GATEWAY TO COLLEGIATE GOLF PROGRAMMES

A golf scholarship offers a life-changing chance to pursue a top-tier education while competing at an elite level. US colleges are home to some of the world’s most cutting-edge athletic facilities and are deeply committed to supporting the growth and success of their student-athletes.

[OUR APPROACH]

THE FOUNDATION OF A PROFESSIONAL GOLF CAREER

A golf scholarship provides more than a world-class education — it’s a pathway to personal development, elite competition, and a stepping stone toward a professional golf career.

Scholarships can cover part or all of a student-athlete’s tuition, depending on both academic and athletic merit. With over 1,300 colleges and universities across the U.S. offering golf scholarships to top talent, the opportunities are vast — but the recruitment and application process can be complex and highly competitive.

At Varsity Nine, we specialise in securing the best possible scholarship for you, providing end-to-end support from your first application to graduation and beyond.

FAQs

  • Scholarships are awarded based on many factors such as your athletic and academic ability, the college tuition fee, and the coach’s available budget. Scholarships can increase throughout your time at college if you perform well on and off the course.

  • We advise student-athletes to begin the process as early as possible. 18-24 months prior to the summer you wish to depart allows for the right lead up time to ensure all processes can be completed.

  • To be eligible to enrol at an American university there are academic requirements you will need to meet. Usually, student-athletes will need a minimum of a 2.0 GPA, which must include GCSE English, Maths and Science - grade 4-9.

The higher your GPA, the more scholarship opportunities will be available to you. Please note that each institution has its own GPA requirement, therefore a 2.0 GPA minimum is not a guaranteed admission to the institution of your choice.

  • The NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) is the largest college sports organisation in the U.S., divided into three divisions, with Division I schools typically having the biggest athletic programmes. The NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) is smaller, with fewer member schools, often appealing to student-athletes seeking a balanced academic-athletic experience. The NJCAA (National Junior College Athletic Association) governs two-year colleges, serving as a stepping stone for athletes aiming to transfer to four-year programmes.
